Kõik Loeb/The Reader

I read. I leave my body behind and disappear, if only to briefly step out of my solitude and make contact. With whom? With what? 'I am a gaze without opinions, judgments, feelings.' (Olga Tokarczuk, 'House of Day, House of Night'). I move between three spaces: the space of thought, virtual space, and physical space. I am in all of them simultaneously, yet not solely in any one of them.

In this online work, the performer is invisible, but their traces are visible. These traces are observations and words that are born in a specific physical space, then carried into the digital space, in front of you—who are you, where are you?

“Held in Human II: Rose in Your Brain” shows how technology can be designed, when the objective is not progress or conquest, but technology’s imaginative and empathetic use for artistic ends. And the result? Well, perhaps the kind of mixed reality we, as humanity, truly need.
